Program organised by ProBioQual and placed under the aegis of the FAEEQ

1 – Program overview

This program is intended for clinical toxicology. Molecules not provided for in the list below are added for biologists who perform toxicological screening by separation methods.

The aim of this program is mainly to evaluate the performance of the methods used: sensitivity and specificity.

Longitudinal studies are carried out over several years both in terms of the popularity of the methods and their performance. On this occasion the indications and recommendations of the analyses performed are recalled.

Participating labs can choose to be assessed for all the analytes of this program, or simply a subset of analytes of interest.

2 – Assessment frequency

Number of surveys per year: 4
Number of control samples per survey: 1
Number of samples per year: 4

3 – List of analytes assessed

Twelve medicinal product/drug of abuse families or molecules are systematically assessed:

  • Amphetamines
  • Tricyclic antidepressants
  • Barbiturates
  • Benzodiazepines
  • Buprenorphine
  • Cannabis
  • Cocaine
  • Ecstasy
  • EDDP
  • Methadone
  • Methamphetamine
  • Opiates

As well as other potentially toxic molecules detected using separation methods

qualitative and / or quantitative serum toxicology assays.

4 – Description of the control samples

Lyophilised human control urines (samples to be resuspended in 5 mL of distilled water).

5 – Clinical context

Clinical contexts are provided with each survey to help you identify medicinal molecules and/or drugs of abuse.
