1 - Programme Overview

EQA programme to assess the quantitative determination of glycated haemoglobin (HbA1c).

Since 2011, all the control samples used in this programme are determined by an IFCC-certified reference laboratory in order to compare the values obtained with the means for each individual technique and all techniques together for the different surveys. Since 2016, the results and statistics are expressed in % (NGSP unit) and mmol/mol (IFCC unit).

This programme includes a survey proposed by a European EQA programme.

This programme is not suitable for analysers Afinion from ABBOTT, possibility of registering for the Point of care testing programme (BD).

Human control blood in lyophilised form (samples to be resuspended in 0.3 or 0.5 mL of NaCl 0.9%).
