1 – Program overview

This external quality assessment program consists of evaluating the different analysers dedicated to determining the CO-Oximetry.

Participating labs can choose to be assessed for all the analytes of this program, or simply a subset of analytes of interest.

This program is not suitable for analysers Cobas b123 from ROCHE.

For this program, a single kit is used to assess one analyser only (one kit per analyser is required).

3 – List of analytes assessed 

• Measured total haemoglobin
• Methaemoglobin (MetHb)
• Carboxyhaemoglobin (COHb)
• Oxyhaemoglobin (O2Hb or fractional oxyhaemoglobin saturation)
• Measured functional saturation SO2

Control solutions in ampoules (to be activated before use).
